NEED FOR THE PROGRAMME

Aggressive competition in the field of housing finance has made it imperative that only effective and efficient functioning will be the key to survival and success in the long run. As the increased competition sometimes leads to dilution of recovery norms, the deteriorating level of asset quality resulting in higher level of NPAs has become a major area of concern. Appropriate understanding of the legal framework and provisions becomes imperative under these circumstances.

OBJECTIVE OF THE PROGRAMME

The main objective of the programme is to familiarize the participants with the various legal issues facing the housing finance sector, knowledge about the documentation, various specific legislative provisions, enforcement of security interest, legal aspects of mortgage backed securitization as well as general housing related laws and fiscal provisions.

DESIRED PARTICIPANT PROFILE

Senior/ middle level personnel of Housing Finance Companies and Banks working in legal departments of respective organizations. (maximum of 3 participants per institution )
