TO ALL REGISTERED HOUSING FINANCE COMPANIES (HFCs)

Dear Sir,

HOUSING LOANS – ORDERS OF THE DELHI HIGH COURT-WRIT PETITION BY KALYAN SANSTHA WELFARE ORGANISATION AGAINST UNION OF INDIA AND OTHERS- IMPLEMENTATION OF DIRECTIONS

Please refer to our Circular No. NHB(ND)/DRS/POL-No.18/2007 dated November 23, 2006 communicating the directions issued by the Monitoring Committee constituted by the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi regarding Unauthorised Construction, Misuse of Properties and Encroachment on Public Land for strict compliance by the HFCs.

1. The Monitoring Committee vide its letter No. DO. No. FO1/RBI/07-08/MC/D-2743 dated August 13, 2007 addressed to Government of India has observed that some home loans are still being extended without complying with the instructions issued in this regard.
2. It is once again reiterated that all Housing Finance Companies should strictly comply with the instructions issued in this regard by NHB vide Circular No. NHB(ND)/DRS/POL-No.18/2007 dated November 23, 2006.
