National Housing Bank (NHB) is organizing a Conference on Reverse Mortgages in India on May 21, 2010 at Bangalore. The main objective of the Conference will be to enable better understanding about the features, functions and the various issues related to the newly launched variant of Reverse Mortgage viz. Reverse Mortgage Loan enabled Annuity (RMLeA) amongst Scheduled Commercial Banks (SCBs), Housing Finance Companies (HFCs) and Life Insurance Companies.

The Conference will showcase the various features, functionality and issues of the new RML product. The discussions in the Conference will focus on the various issues such as Financial and Taxation, Valuation, Actuarial Computations, Legal, Marketing and Business Development aspects concerning the product and the possibilities to ensure an effective delivery mechanism to the Senior Citizens. The programme is aimed at generating greater awareness amongst the policy making and operational levels of managements of SCBs, HFCs and Life Insurance Companies.
